Remodeling Craft Space

Hey Stampin's Friends!

I hope everyone had a great weekend...
I have been busy this weekend with my family getting ready for softball season and also working on some more remodeling the craft room...
My husband I have been trying to figure out a new set up that would give me more workspace and storage for my small craft space. My current craft room is approx. 8ft by 11ft (if I am lucky).
I have to admit it is not the most organized craft room, so I decided it is time to get it organized, so I started watching some videos and looking on my favorite resourse online "Pinterest".

I found some great ideas and I am going to share them with you..
This is a must have ... you can get this spinning rack at Harbor Freight. It is perfect for little embellishments, Glue, note pads and so much more.. I have not filled it yet, but working on putting some of my little things that I want to have out and easily ready to grab.

These little bins we picked up at Home Depot in the tool department and I painted them a nice bright color (they were red) and they actually come with a bracket that you can hang on the wall and they clip into it but I decided that I wanted to place them on my shelf above my cutting table.

The smaller bin is from Walmart you can pick them up in a 2 PK for $.97 (kitchen area) which is a great deal and get alot for not too much and these are perfect to place in drawers to help storage issues and keep things in place.
The Larger Basket is from Home Depot and this are perfect for large embellishments and embossing folders. You can these in a bigger size too and that is perfect for Framelits and Dies.

This is a mini crates (Milk Style Crates) this are from Walmart in the Stationary Department and they are about 1.97 each and you can hang them on the wall or place on a shelf.  You can store alot in this little crates.
I have my Misc Ink pads in one and my bow makers in the other one.

This white bins are smaller than the ones above and I think those were 3 in a pack. and the black one is from Walmart too and they were in a 2 pk in the stationary department... I love this little bins and they fit perfect in my storage areas.. .

This is separate units that I have purchased from Michael's, when they were on Clearance last year and they go great together in this little area to store embellishments, color/watercoloring supplies, extra tape and other adhesives. In the bottom drawers I have some of my Designer Series Paper Packs stored in them and in the top drawer I have my ribbons and twine in using the little storage bins.

Here is my newest addition to the craft room ( I know not the traditional item for a craft room). But this is so perfect for storage and work surface. The top is wood, which is perfect for keeping cleaned and washing.
It has a 2 short drawers and 1 deep drawer. I have supplies for my Big Shot in the top draw, 2nd draw has my spare paper trimmers, extension platform for the Big Shot
The Deep Drawer has my embossing folders and Misc Tools.
The bottom has a large open storage area with 2 doors and I am going to be putting all my Misc. Papers and office supplies in there.

I do have a second one of these tool boxes that will be coming in to the craft space later today and I will be filling that up with more items (note sure exactly what just yet). I am hoping that my sewing machine will be able to come out of the closet and be stored in the second tool box.
I am very happy with the way it is starting to all come together...

Over the next couple of months we will be getting the new upper shelving units and cabinets. My husband is currently working on the new work table for me with some storage to go with it...

I will share more after the next stage of the remodeling process... I will be honest, It is not easy or cheap to remodel a craft room. So we are doing it in stages and picking little things here and there.
The little storage bins I purchase a few weekly and put away until the next stage.
I still need some more for this stage.

I hope you enjoyed this and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me
